Murder: Gunman Surrenders Months After Fatal Virginia Apartment Complex Shooting, Police Say A 35-year-old man wanted since a May gunfight that killed a 25-year-old man has been arrested, police in Prince William County said. Jeffrey Donelle Hampton surrendered to authorities on Wednesday, Sept. 27, Prince William County police said. He's charged with murder and various weapons offenses in the May 21 killing of Michael Hawkins III. A $10,000 reward was being offered in Hampton's arrest. Michael Eugene Hawkins III, of Woodbridge, and another man were arguing outside of the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Court in Woodbridge around 2:45 p.m. Sunday, May 21, PWC police said.
