Repeat DUI Driver Strikes Volunteer Directing Traffic In Stafford County Intersection: Sheriff A drunk driver with a history of DUIs didn't realize he struck a Stafford County Traffic Safety Volunteer before crashing, according to officials.  Stafford resident Daniel Schmitt is back on the wrong side of the law after getting his third DUI in 10 years when he sped through an intersection, struck a volunteer and then smashed into an embankment on Thursday morning.
