Police arrested two people after one was caught shoplifting at a Stafford Walmart, authorities announced. Walmart workers caught a woman later identified as Natalie Hardee, 40, of Woodbridge, stuffing items into a duffel bag at the Village Parkway store in Stafford on Saturday, Aug. 19, Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur said. Authorities in Virginia have identified the 45-year-old abductor who died by suicide after a violent crime spree that crossed county lines over the weekend. Dana Paul Roman, 45, shot and killed himself after shooting one person multiple times; abducting and assaulting another; and then carjacking a third in Reston, whom he forced to transport him back to Richmond early Sunday, June 11, Fairfax County Police said. Authorities say that a Virginia man is facing federal charges in Maryland for brandishing a handgun and acting violently during incidents on I-495 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. A former Virginia State Police trooper was killed in a shootout with police who say he traveled across the country to Riverside, California, where he abducted a teenage girl he met online, before killing her mom, grandmother, and grandfather. A Virginia man accused of shooting his roommate over the weekend was arrested on various charges, authorities said. Jason Miller, 39, shot his roommate at 4200 B Broad Hill Drive around 1 a.m. Friday, April 29, according to the Henrico County Police Department.
