John E. Wilson Jr., of Winchester, had a two-ounce mixture of fentanyl and cocaine on him when he was arrested Friday, April 5, Virginia State Police said.
Wilson was arrested by the Northwest Drug and Gang Task Force following an operation along the first block of Crooked Run Plaza in the Town of Front Royal, State Police said.
Wilson was charged with 12 felony counts of distribution of a schedule I/II drug, 1 felony count of manufacture/sell schedule I/II drug, and 1 felony count of possession of a firearm while in possession of a schedule I/II drug. He was taken to RSW Regional Jail, where he was being held without bond. The case remains active and ongoing.
The Northwest Virginia Regional Drug and Gang Task Force is comprised of law enforcement personnel from the Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, Warren County Sheriff's Departments, Front Royal, Luray, Strasburg, and Winchester Police Departments, and the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Culpeper Field Office. The Northwest Virginia Regional Drug and Gang Task Force is a HIDTA funded initiative.
