UVA Shooting Suspect In Custody, Victims ID'd As Football Players: Officials Authorities have arrested the suspect wanted in the University of Virginia shooting that left three people dead and two wounded on Sunday, Nov. 13. Christopher Darnell Jones Jr., a UVA student and former walk-on football player from the Petersburg area, was taken into custody just before 11 a.m., according to the UVA Police Department. The 22-year-old was captured on the 5700 block of Edgelawn Street, after an officer spotted the suspect's vehicle in the eastern part of Henrico County, local police said on Twitter.
