No Charges After Prisoner Fatally Overdoses While In Police Custody In DC, Prosecutors Say There will be no charges filed after a suspect died of an overdose while in police custody in Washington, DC earlier this year. The US Attorney's Office for DC announced that there is not enough evidence to pursue possible federal charges against a Metropolitan Police Department detective or special agent from the ATF following the death of 44-year-old District resident "M.P." who took a host of drugs and overdosed while behind bars. Officials say that the detective and special agent were the last two to see M.P., who died at the Metropolitan Police Second District Station while in custody.…

DC Man Gets 25 Years For Stabbing Ex-Girlfriend To Death With Screwdriver A man from Washington DC was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death with a screwdriver, the US Attorney's Office for DC said.  Robert Dean, 64, stabbed 38-year-old Tamiya White in the neck in Northeast DC on March 31, 2018, the office reports.
