A man who pulled a gun on a woman and robbed her of her purse in a hotel room racked up additional charges during his arrest when he assaulted a police officer, officials in Prince William County said. The 41-year-old victim was in a hotel room on Horner Road in Woodbridge with Howard Bernard Jenkins, 43, and one other man when Jenkins pulled out a gun and robbed her of her purse and phone around 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, PWC police said. : Driver Arrested In PWC Assault, Police Say
A 33-year-old driver was arrested for assaulting another motorist over the weekend, authorities in Prince William County said. Joshua Barrett, of Woodbridge, approached a 36-year-old man around 8:05 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 13, at Botts Avenue and Horner Road, and struck him multiple times, county police said. Officers were in the area at the time and were flagged down shortly after the encounter. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. A speeding 24-year-old driver was killed in a rollover crash in Virginia after losing control and landing in a ditch, according to police in Prince William County. Woodbridge resident Denard Everett Bankston II was killed in a crash that remains under investigation shortly before 10 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10, a spokesperson for the Prince William County Police Department said.
