Second Suspect Charged In Virginia Murder-For-Hire Conspiracy: Police
The second man wanted in connection to a murder-for-hire conspiracy that left 23-year-old Egypt Zapporah Carter dead in February has been apprehended. Woodbridge resident Denzel Scott Wade, 23, is in custody days after 27-year-old Drew Courtney Buchanan was arrested and charged for the murder of the North Carolina native. Investigators say they believe Buchanan pulled the trigger, but Wade was present at the time. One person is in custody and another is wanted in connection to a murder-for-hire conspiracy that left a 23-year-old woman from North Carolina dead in Prince William County, police say. Drew Courtney Buchanan, 27 has been arrested in connection to the murder of Burlington resident Egypt Zapporah Carter in February, authorities announced on Monday. Homeless Man Found In Vehicle He Tried Stealing In Arlington: Police
A 30-year-old homeless man didn't get very far after breaking into and trying to steal a vehicle in Arlington this week, police said. Derrick Smallwood and another suspect were trying to break into a parked vehicle on the 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard around 10:05 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17 when police arrived, county authorities said. Responding officers found Smallwood inside the vehicle and arrested him. Burglarious tools were recovered during the search of the vehicle, county police said.
