Fishy Suspect: Man Lies About Shooting At Fisherman After Police Find His Shotgun
A Stafford man was arrested for shooting his weapon at an innocent fisherman, police reported.On August 22, at around 1:30 p.m., a man was fishing at the Potomac River, when someone started shooting in his direction, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
The victim was unharmed, but police went to look for the suspect, who was described as wearing black pants and no shirts, officials said.
Officer arrived at a residence on Brent Point Road, where they found multiple fresh shotgun shells on the property, authorities said.
