Hit-Run Driver Arrested Seven Months After 19-Year-Old Killed In Southeast DC, Police Say Investigators worked around the clock and have arrested a driver who was wanted in connection to the fatal hit-and-run of a 19-year-old in Southeast DC last summer. On Friday, the Metropolitan Police Department announced that Northwest DC resident Andre Johnson has been arrested and charged with the murder of Madison Jones in June 2023, authorities announced. Amber Alert Issued For Children In 'Extreme Danger': Virginia State Police An amber alert has been issued by the Virginia State Police for two children believed to be in extreme danger. Kayden and Kendall Smith, ages 10 and 8, are believed to be with Barbara Smith, and Charles Smith. The Bristol children were last seen driving a white 2005 Ford Focus with VA tag TUG-5104.
