Slade G. Miller was heading south on Tidewater Trail on a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle, when he struck a northbound Dodge Charger that had exited Briarwood lane around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 12, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office said.

Miller, of Spotsylvania, died at the scene of the crash. The 41-year-old driver of the Charger suffered minor injuries and stayed on scene with investigators.

A GoFundMe for the family said Miller was on his way home from work at the time of the crash.

"Slade was an outstanding son and brother of a single Dad who raised him. He was always there to care for his younger brother and sister," reads the campaign launched by Kimberly Underwood.

"He loved football and wrestling at his school. It's hard to fathom times like this but for the Grace of God go we."

That campaign had raised $1,650 while a second raised about $1,400 as of press time.

The accident is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team to see if additional factors contributed to the crash.
