Shortly before noon on Thursday, Feb. 2, the Fairfax City Police Department issued an alert to the community advising that students at Katherine Johnson Middle School on Jermantown Road will be met with an increased police presence throughout the rest of the day to allow officers to investigate.
It is unclear when the threatening message was written, according to police. The nature of the threat was not disclosed by investigators.
