Minor Hospitalized After Being Shot In Lincolnia, Fairfax County Police Say

The shooting of a teenager in Fairfax County was not a random act, according to police.

On Tuesday night, officers from the Fairfax County Police Department were called to the area of Braddock Drive near Overlook Drive in Lincolnia to investigate reports of shots fired.

According to authorities, upon their arrival, officers were met by a juvenile who was taken to an area hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to his arm. His injuries were considered non-life-threatening. 

As of Wednesday morning, the teen was still hospitalized. Police say that the initial investigation determined that the shooting was not a random act.

No information about the victim or shooter has been released by the police.
