Man Firing Gun Into Neighboring Annandale Townhouse Apprehended After Brief Standoff: Police

A man was safely taken into custody this week after firing a gun inside his Fairfax County townhouse into a neighboring home, police say.

Annandale resident Michael Glaze was apprehended following a short standoff after he discharged his weapon several times inside his residence. 

The incident was reported at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21 in the 7800 block of Butterfield Lane.

The 67-year-old was arrested after a brief barricade for allegedly firing the gun into a neighboring, occupied townhouse. 

Glaze ultimately surrendered and he was taken into custody without further incident.

No injuries were reported.

He was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm and shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Glaze was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
