Escaped VA Inmate Captured In Mexico, 2nd At Large

One of two men who escaped from a Virginia jail this week was captured in Mexico. The other remains at large.

Alder Marin Sotelo, 26, was arrest by Mexican authorities on Thursday, May 4 around 1 p.m. in Guerrero.

Sotelo and Bruce Callahan, 44, escaped from the Piedmont Regional Jail in Virginia within hours of one another. Authorities were notified on Monday, May 1.

Callahan was convicted of federal drug offenses while Marin-Sotelo is facing unlawful possession of a firearm by an illegal alien.

Federal agencies were assisting with the investigation.
