Arrest Made In 2009 Murder Of DC Teen Famously Featured In MTV Documentary Fourteen years after 19-year-old Emmanuel Durant Jr. was murdered, police in Washington DC say they have arrested his killer. The Metropolitan Police Department announced the arrest of Randolph Thomas Jr., 40, in connection with the 2009 killing of Durant. The teen's life was famously depicted in the award-winning documentary "17 Blocks." Emmanuel graduated from Roosevelt High School in Washington D.C. in June of 2009.
