Police Sergeant Gets Prison Time For Violating Rights During Fatal Shooting Of DC Driver: Feds
A high-ranking member of the Metropolitan Police Department who admitted to violating the constitutional rights of a 27-year-old man who was shot dead is going to spend time on the other side of the prison bars, federal authorities announced. Enis Jevric, 42, a sergeant with the agency pleaded guilty in federal court to using excessive force on An'Twan Gilmore in August 2021 during a police shooting.
