Involuntary Manslaughter For DUI Driver In Northern VA Crash That Killed Passenger: Police A 37-year-old Virginia woman is facing charges for a crash that left her passenger dead, authorities said. Shannon P. Day, of Sumerduck, was driving under the influence at the time of the Shipps Tore Road crash in Fauquier County on Saturday, March 2 at 10:25 p.m., Virginia State Police said. Day was in a 2018 Ford Explorer going west on Route 637 when she failed to maneuver a curve ran off the right side of the roadway and collided with a tree, police said.
