DC Teen Dies After Being Found With Gunshot Wounds In Maryland Park, Police Say An 18-year-old District resident has been identified as the person found with fatal gunshot wounds in a Maryland park on Sunday night.  At approximately 6:45 p.m. on April 14, first responders were called to a park in the 800 block of Birchleaf Avenue in Seat Pleasant, where they found Michael Delonta Cooper suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Last week, Seat Pleasant Police K9 Theo was among the officers sent to bust a carjacker who stole a 2022 Dodge Charger in the 3300 block of Benning Road in Northeast DC before crossing into Prince George's County. The suspect is pictured running from the 5700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway around 1 a.m., on Sunday, Aug. 14 after the shooting that took the life of LaDainain McMillian, 20, according to Prince George’s County Police. Jose Hernandez Chaves was killed after the driver of a pickup truck rear ended Chaves at a red light, pushing Chaves's vehicle into a third vehicle, on the 8400 block of Central Avenue around 3:45 p.m., Monday, May 23, Prince George's County Police say.
