A bright fireball streaked across the East Coast on Monday, Nov. 11, catching the attention of hundreds of people from Connecticut to Virginia (did you see it? Falls Church Driver Charged In Hit-Run Motorcycle Crash On I-395: State Police
A Falls Church driver has been charged in a hit-and-run crash of a motorcycle on I-395, Virginia State Police said. Fullus Abebe, 45, was in a Honda van when he struck a motorcyclist on the southbound side of the highway at the Pentagon in Arlington around 12:40 p.m. Sunday, May 26, police said. The driver of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital, and Abebe fled the scene, according to police. Dangerous I-395 Ramp Closes: Now What?
A dangerous I-395 ramp has closed as part of an improvement project, changing traffic patterns for Virginia drivers. The ramp from southbound I-395 to eastbound Boundary Channel Drive (Exit 9/Clark Street) and the eastbound Boundary Channel Drive ramp to southbound I-395, closed as of Friday, Dec. 1, the Virginia Department of Transportation announced. Three US Navy sailors stationed on the USS George Washington in Virginia died by suicide within seven days of each other this month, The Washington Post reports.
