Two former members of the Metropolitan Police Department have been convicted for their roles in the fatal pursuit of 20-year-old new father Karon Hylton-Brown in 2020. Officer Terence Sutton, 38, and former Lt. Andrew Zabavsky were both found guilty by a US District Court jury in DC on multiple charges in connection to a police pursuit on Oct. 23, 2020, in Northwest Washington that ended in Hylton-Brown’s death. Two US Secret Service offers will not face charges who were involved in the fatal shooting of a teen near an ambassador’s residence in DC earlier this year, federal officials announced.
