Haidan Smallwood, of Berryville, was the passenger of a stolen Honda Accord that disregarded railroad crossing arms and was struck by a Norfolk Southern train around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2 in Faquier County, Virginia State Police said. Stolen Honda Struck By Train Killing 1, Hurting Two In Northern VA
One person died and two others were seriously injured when the driver of a stolen Honda sedan drove around traffic stopped as a train was coming, and was struck by the train, authorities said. The crash happened around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at the intersection of Route 17 (Winchester Road) and Route 712 (Delaplane Grade) in Faquier County, Virginia State Police said. Three people were injured after a freight train struck a truck on the tracks Thursday morning in a remote area of Prince William County, according to reports.
