Armed Man Shot By MD Troopers Airlifted To DC Hospital A 22-year-old armed man was shot by Maryland State Police troopers after lunging at them with a knife Friday, Aug. 18, authorities said. The gunman who killed four people and injured several others was being sought for homicide when he struck a 25-year Maryland State Police veteran Thursday, June 9, authorities said.
