HAZMAT: Overturned Propane Tanker Sends 3 To Hospital, Jams I-395 A crash that left a propane tanker overturned sent three people to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon, July 26 on I-395 in Arlington. The crash happened in the southbound lanes between Shirlington Circle and King Street around 1:30 p.m. HazMat crews were called to the scene as other responders brought the truck upright.  Three people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and the highway reopened around 4 p.m. Want breaking news in the DMV as it happens, or want to contribute? DUI Maryland Driver Kills California Pedestrian In Arlington: Police A 38-year-old Maryland man was drunk when he struck and killed a 71-year-old woman crossing the street in Arlington, VA on Monday night, May 22, authorities said. Alvaro Alejandro Pacheco Ramos, of Columbia, struck Susan Hamlin, 71, of Aptos, CA, as she was crossing the 4800 block of King Street around 10:05 p.m., Arlington County police said. Hamlin was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Ramos was charged with DUI/Involuntary Manslaughter. He is being held without bond in the Arlington County Detention Facility.
