First responders in Northwest DC were treated to an "unusual incident" on Tuesday afternoon when a tractor-trailer struck a power pole, leading to a brief electrical discharge. Some locals were left without power after the truck hit the pole at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Madison Street NW shortly after noon on March 12, officials say. Summer is coming to a close, schools are reopen, and there is a new curfew being enacted for the youth in Washington, DC. As of Friday, Sept. 1, the "Juvenile Curfew Enforcement Pilot" took effect in the District as officials keep working to curtail the rash of violence that has placed DC in 2023. A driver in the District was hospitalized in critical condition on Wednesday morning after a crash involving a DC Fire and EMS ambulance, officials said. One Killed By MPD Officer Investigating DC Shooting
A 31-year-old man was shot and killed in DC after an earlier shooting left two people injured, authorities announced.
