Wanted fugitive Christopher Haynes is back in custody in Maryland after escaping from custody in DC last month, the Metropolitan Police Department announced on Thursday. On Oct. 26, the department announced that the 30-year-old Haynes was recaptured in Prince George's County after escaping police custody following his arrest for the August murder of Brent Hayward. The search for an escaped Washington DC murder suspect remains active a day after Danelo Cavalcante's capture. Christopher Haynes, a Manassas, VA native charged in the Aug. 12 murder of Brent Hayward, escaped from the George Washington University Hospital on Wednesday, Sept. 6. DC Metro police last week released an image of the 30-year-old, and this week increased the reward for his arrest to $30,000.
