Traffic will be temporarily tied up in parts of Fairfax County as crews work to repair a gas leak in Chantilly. Shortly after 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, an alert was issued by the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department when crews responded to the 14800 block of Willard Road, where there were reports of a two-inch gas line that was struck. Students and staff at a Virginia high school were temporarily out in the cold on Tuesday morning after a precautionary evacuation. Loudoun County High School was evacuated shortly after 9 a.m. on Jan. 30 due to the reported presence of the odor of gas throughout parts of the building, according to police.
