Pilot Unscathed After Virginia Plane Crash
A Michigan pilot miraculously survived a small plane crash in Virginia Tuesday evening, March 12, officials said. Travis M. Berlin, 45, of Parma, MI, made an emergency landing in a field of the 1400 block of Steed Lane in Warren County around 5 p.m., Virginia State Police said. The aircraft landed in a field and struck several trees. Berlin was the only occupant and was not injured. The FAA and NTSB were notified and the incident remains under investigation.

Small Plane Crashes Off Runway At Virginia Airport: State Police
No injuries were reported after a private aircraft missed its landing and wound up off the runway at the Leesburg Executive Airport on Friday afternoon. Shortly before 5 p.m., Virginia State Police troopers were called to the airport, where a private aircraft coming in for a landing wound up coming to rest off the runway and in the grass off the tarmac, authorities say. Police ID Pilot Killed In Fiery Virginia Plane Crash
Police have identified the pilot killed in a Fauquier County plane crash over the weekend. Simmie A. Adams, 62, of Bealeton, was trying to land a single-engine plane when the plane collided with several trees around 3:55 p.m. near Midland Road and Ebenezer Church Road, Virginia State Police said. The plane caught fire and Adams, the only occupant, died at the scene of the crash. No one on the ground was injured as a result of the crash. The FAA and NTSB were notified of the crash. The crash remains under investigation.

A Maryland-bound plane made an emergency landing in New Jersey after the cockpit became filled with smoke, officials said.
