Hammer-Wielding Man Attacked Two People At Northeast DC Liquor Store, Police Say Police say that a man attacked two people with a hammer who attempted to stop him from robbing a liquor store in Northeast DC this week.  Metropolitan Police Department detectives were called to a business in the unit block of M Street NE at around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31 to investigate a reported assault involving a hammer-wielding man.
