Virginia NAACP Leader Killed In Ambush Gang Attack During Turks And Caicos Vacation A Virginia NAACP leader was killed in an ambush attack while vacationing in the Turks and Caicos islands over the weekend by alleged gang members, according to multiple reports. Kent Carter, the vice president of the Arlington NAACP branch, was killed in the attack on Sunday, Oct. 2 while he was taking a tour of the area, the reports continue.
