The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office is investigating following an officer-involved shooting that left a 38-year-old man dead on Sunday morning. Shortly after 3:15 p.m. on June 30, deputies were called to the 10400 block of Spotswood Drive to investigate a reported domestic disturbance involving a weapon. A Fairfax County police officer was arrested for driving under the influence, officials said. Stephen Copp was driving his county vehicle while off-duty, when he was taken into custody for driving under the influence, according to the Fairfax County Police department.
