DC Housing Authority Police Officer Shot In Navy Yard; Two In Custody Two suspects have been apprehended after a DC Housing Authority Police Department officer was shot in the Navy Yard on Thursday morning. Shortly before 6 a.m. on Feb. 29, officials say that the officer was shot in the 400 block of M Street SE, leading to a shelter in place order in the area of the Arris Apartments on 4th Street SE while members of the Metropolitan Police Department searched in the area. Arsonist Apprehended For Memorial Day Car Fire That Injured Four In DC, Officials Say One man suffered critical injuries and three others were injured after a woman allegedly set a car on fire in Southeast DC late on Memorial Day, officials say. At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 29, DC Fire and EMS personnel were called to the 3900 block of 4th Street SE, where there was a reported vehicle fire with four people inside. Officials said that the fire was quickly extinguished, though one man suffered critical injuries, while a woman suffered "serious, but non-life-threatening injuries."
