Maryland Woman Charged With Murder 34 Years After BF Found Dead In Northeast DC Home: Police

Thirty-four years after 34-year-old Norman Lawrence Rich was found shot to death in a Northeast DC house, an Annapolis woman has been arrested for his murder, the Metropolitan Police Department announced.

Sheila Brown, 66, is facing murder and other charges in connection to the death of Rich - also known as "Semo" and "Mo - who was killed on March 28, 1990 in the 500 block of M Street NE.

Upon arrival, officers called to investigate reports of shots fired in the afternoon, they found Rich inside a bedroom in the home suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, the investigation determined that the fatal shooting was domestic in nature. Brown was reportedly the mother of their three children.

Brown was indicted in DC Superior Court on charges that include second-degree murder and obstruction of justice. She was arrested on Wednesday by members of the Annapolis Police Department and US Marshals.
