Enis Jevric, 42, a sergeant with the agency pleaded guilty in federal court to using excessive force on An'Twan Gilmore in August 2021 during a police shooting. Maryland Shooter Admits To Gunning Down Man In Northeast DC On Thanksgiving Weekend: Feds A Maryland man has admitted to his role in the fatal shooting of a popular 34-year-old man in Northeast DC over Thanksgiving weekend last year, authorities announced. Andre Hicks, 40, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to second-degree murder while armed in connection to the death of Southeast DC resident Daniel Adams in November 2023.  On Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department found Adams in the 1300 block of Florida Avenue NE suffering from gunshot wounds.
