Alarm bells are sounding for members of the Metropolitan Police Department as they search for an infant who was reported missing in Northwest DC on Wednesday. An alert was issued by the agency early on July 17 as they seek the public's assistance in locating 5-month-old Rajah Leonard, who was last seen around noon in the 6000 block of 16th Street NW and is believed to be accompanied by 27-year-old Ramon Leonard. The 41-year-old Virginia man who assaulted and burglarized his pregnant ex-wife's home in Northwest DC has been sentenced to prison time, federal authorities announced on Wednesday. A teen shooter has been indicted on charges in connection to the fatal shooting of a popular restaurant manager who was gunned down on his way home from work, federal authorities announced. A member of the Metropolitan Police Department was shot and injured in Northwest DC on Monday afternoon. An officer was shot in the area of 7th Street and Oneida Place NW at around noon on Monday, May 20 and rushed to an area hospital with serious injuries, according to officials.
