Officers from the Prince William County Police Department were called to the area of the 500 block of Harbor Side Street in Woodbridge to probe a death that was reported in the area. Police say that members of a fishing vessel in the area found the body floating in the water, prompting a call to fire and rescue personnel, who were able to remove the body from the water and confirm the death. Richard Osmin Ascencio, 31, and Jakeline Sanchez, 28, both of Woodbridge, are both wanted for felony child abuse, the county police department said. Officers were called to their Granby Road home on Jan. 22, 2023 where firefighters found their 19-month-old child unresponsive, police said.
