Shortly after 9 p.m. on June 11, first responders were called to a stretch of the Matthew Henson Trail in Silver Spring, where there were reports of a person hit by a felled tree as wicked storms rolled through the region. The crash happened around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, in Gaithersburg. Montgomery County Police say Roger Gustavo Pineda Cardona was riding a green 2008 Kawasaki EX250 eastbound on West Diamond Avenue when the motorcycle collided with the rear of a black 2022 Toyota Camry.
