A rideshare driver in Maryland fought off an attempted carjacking in a terrifying way — by flooring it and swerving until the attacker bailed out, police said. A woman working as a rideshare driver in Bethesda was repeatedly punched by a passenger who tried to steal her car, but she managed to escape by speeding off and making sharp turns that forced the attacker out, Montgomery County Police said. Rideshare Driver Arrested For Sexual Battery Of Passenger In Alexandria: Police
A 33-year-old rideshare driver has been arrested following an investigation into an alleged sexual assault of a passenger in Alexandria, police say. Ahmed Reshad Nasseri was arrested this week and charged with aggravated sexual battery dating back to an incident reported on Friday, July 19 in the 5000 block of Seminary Road. According to the Alexandria Police Department, Nasseri worked as a rideshare driver on the night of the incident, and his victim was a passenger he picked up after requesting the ride.
