A DC detective has been placed on administrative leave after shooting a man during a fight that broke out following an early morning crash on Saturday, authorities said. Metropolitan Police officers responded to a reported shooting in the 1800 block of Potomac Avenue SE just before 1 a.m. on March 1, officials said. An early morning police pursuit of armed robbery suspects in Virginia crossed state lines and ended in a crash in Maryland, leaving multiple people injured, authorities said. A Fourth of July shooting is under investigation in Stafford County after a man and several vehicles were struck by gunfire, according to the sheriff's office. Shortly after 10:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, deputies were called to a reported shooting on Anvil Road in Olde Forge to investigate reports of shots fired. Arrest Made In Triple Leesburg Shooting, Police Say
A 19-year-old man has been arrested in a shooting that left three people wounded in Loudoun County, authorities said. Sylvanus Massaquoi is believed to have shot the three males on the 800 block of Edwards Ferry Road NE in Leesburg around 7:45 p.m. Thursday, May 30, police said. The victims were taken to area hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Massaquoi, of Sterling, was arrested and charged with aggravated malicious wounding.
