Two suspects are behind bars after an armed robbery at a Fredericksburg convenience store led to a dramatic police pursuit and a K9-assisted manhunt, authorities say. The incident began shortly after 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1, when Fredericksburg Police responded to a robbery at the Express Food Mart on Princess Anne Street. Fire investigators are turning to the public for help identifying the suspect who set a Cumberland tire shop ablaze early Saturday morning, causing $50,000 in damages. A high-end jewelry store in Leesburg became the target of a smash-and-grab burglary early Tuesday morning, leaving investigators searching for three suspects who shattered the store’s front window and made off with stolen goods. At approximately 1:33 a.m. on Nov. 19, police say that officers responded to White & Ivory Fine Jewelry, on Village Market Boulevard SE, for reports of a burglary.
