DUI Driver Had Drink, Open Smirnoff Bottle In Car Before Crash, Stafford Sheriff Says Deputies didn't have to work hard to determine that a driver was under the influence before smashing into a tree in Stafford County, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies were called late in the afternoon on Friday to the 600 block of Rock Hill Church Road, when Nokesville native Frances Thompson, 54, lost control and came to a half after striking a tree. 27-Year-Old Man Killed In Alcohol-Fueled Rockingham County Crash: State Police A 27-year-old man died in a Rockingham County crash that police say may have involved alcohol. Justin L. McGuire, of New Market, was heading north on Route 11/North Valley Pike when he crossed the centerline in a Toyota Tacoma, ran off the roadway and struck a tree around 2:10 a.m. Thursday, May 30, Virginia State Police said. McGuire, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol is considered a factor in the crash, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
