A sticky, yellow disaster unfolded behind a former tavern in Pennsylvania when thousands of eggs tumbled off a truck, officials confirmed on Wednesday, June 5.
The egg-splosion happened on Fairview Road, off Prospect Road in West Hempfield Township, Lancaster County, leaving the lot behind the old Fairview Tavern coated in bright yellow yolk and flattened cartons.

Amid the avian flu outbreak, authorities are investigating the theft of "high-value goods" from a Pennsylvania business, State Police announced on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
Approximately 100,000 organic eggs, valued at $40,000, were stolen from a distribution trailer at Pete and Gerry's Organics in Antrim Township, according to PSP Chambersburg.
The theft occurred sometime overnight on Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Commerce Avenue facility, troopers detailed in the release.

A Virginia fugitive wanted for burglary was tracked down in Maryland, where officers found him in possession of a stolen car, authorities said.
Michael Anthony Kirk, Jr., 28, of Waldorf, was arrested by Charles County Sheriff’s officers assigned to Judicial Services, with help from the Neighborhood Enforcement Team and K9 Unit.
