A small plane crash-landed in a Virginia field after suffering engine trouble shortly after takeoff, authorities said. The crash happened at shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, near Spotswood Furnace Road in Spotsylvania County, according to Virginia State Police. Pilot Killed In Small Plane Crash ID'd As Alexandria Resident, 66
A 66-year-old pilot was killed in a small plane crash in Culpeper County on Friday, May 17, authorities confirmed. The private aircraft went down on the 13000 block of Spillman Road in Culpeper County just before 2:45 p.m., Virginia State Police said. The pilot was identified as Grover McCall Jr., of Alexandria.
