Dangerous Knife Blades Trigger Recall Of Popular Utility Tools
Thousands of utility tools are being recalled because the knife blade may not fold completely into the handle. Leatherman is recalling about 17,000 Charge Plus and Charge Plus TTi multi-tools, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, July 31. The recall affects Charge Plus multi-tools sold in stainless steel or two types of black, along with Charge Plus TTi tools sold in stainless steel with black nylon sheaths. A top-selling winter boot from The North Face is being recalled after a design flaw caused dozens of people to trip and fall, including 15 who were hurt. The North Face is recalling about 15,200 pairs of Shellista V Mid Waterproof Boots, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, April 17. Around 5,900 pairs were also sold in Canada. 400+ REI Employees Laid Off, Outdoor Retailer Ends Adventure Travel Program
More than 400 employees will lose their jobs as REI closes its Experiences program, ending the adventure travel and outdoor education programs that have been part of the retailer’s identity for 40 years.
