A Virginia man who authorities said killed a married couple renting the basement of the home he also lived in has been arrested after fleeing to New Jersey where he threatened more people with a gun, authorities said.

A Stafford man in an unfamiliar neighborhood was all smiles after taking deputies on a short-lived pursuit and ultimately surrendering.
