A Massachusetts family traveling to a wedding in South Carolina has been identified among the five people killed in a devastating chain-reaction crash involving a charter bus on Interstate 95 in Virginia.
Providence Christian Academy announced Friday, May 29, that members of the Doncev family died in the crash, which happened shortly after 2:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-95 in Stafford County.
Relatives identified the family of four as Dimitri Doncev, 45, and his wife Ecaterina Doncev, 44, along with their two children, Emily, 13, and Mark, 7, all of Greenfield, MA.

He stomped on the roof of a car that wasn’t his, tried to break in, then took deputies on a wild ride through a hospital parking lot before ditching his car near I-95, the sheriff said.
Moriano Lardge, 38, of Stafford, was arrested on Wednesday night, Aug. 6, after a chaotic series of events that began around 11 p.m. on Sun Bluff Way, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.

Virginia Man Ejected, Then Struck By Car In Violent I-95 Crash: State Police
A Virginia man was ejected from his speeding car and then struck by another vehicle during a violent crash on I-95 in Stafford County, Virginia State Police said.
The three-car crash happened around 8:25 p.m. Saturday, May 17, in the northbound lanes of the interstate, according to Virginia State Police.
Joseph Celich, 23, of Stafford, was driving a 2007 Mazda Speed 3 at a high rate of speed when he tried to squeeze between a vehicle in the middle lane and a Hyundai Palisade in the left lane, troopers said.
