Cresencio Lucas Chavez Velasquez, 18, of Parksley, drowned after struggling in the water off Assateague Island National Seashore on Thursday, July 24, 2025, according to the National Park Service. On Saturday, April 19, Gus Serbeck's daughter was assaulted by the 17-year-old, referred to as J.H. at the teen's Leamings Mill residence in Millville, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said.
