Motorcyclist Killed In Maryland Crash After Colliding With Car, Sheriff Says
A 43-year-old Maryland man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car in Mount Airy, authorities announced.
On Thursday, Aug. 28, at around 6:15 p.m., deputies from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of West Ridgeville Boulevard and the Mount Airy Village Shopping Center for a reported fatal crash, officials said.
According to investigators, a Honda motorcycle traveling westbound struck a Volkswagen Jetta that was heading eastbound and attempting to make a left turn after pulling into the roadway.

A Mount Airy man is facing a long list of disturbing charges after detectives raided his home as part of an ongoing sex offense investigation, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Mark Brigham, 35, was arrested Wednesday, Aug. 6, after deputies executed a search warrant at a home in the 7500 block of Woodville Road, officials said Thursday.
During the search, detectives seized electronics, firearms, ammunition, and other related evidence, the sheriff’s office said.

A Maryland man is behind bars after his mother-in-law was found dead inside a Walkersville home over the weekend, authorities said.
Pavel Obambe, 35, was arrested on Tuesday, June 24, and charged in the killing of Christine Liboula, 68, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Deputies responded just after 10 a.m. Sunday, June 22, to a home in the 8400 block of Foresight Lane for a report of an unconscious person.

A man accused of abducting his girlfriend during a domestic dispute in Maryland was arrested — and then released, according to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.
Devan Marshall Fyke, 32, of Charlestown, West Virginia, was taken into custody following a 911 call around 11 p.m. on Monday, June 16, reporting a possible abduction in progress near New Design Road, the department said.
The caller told dispatchers that her sister had just been abducted by a man, and that she was attempting to follow the vehicle.

Willie Hensley Jr., of Thurmont, was driving a 2015 Toyota Highlander around 9 a.m. Thursday, June 5, when he attempted to turn south onto Old Frederick Road from Devilbiss Bridge Road in Lewistown, according to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.
