DC Man Charged After Maryland Girl, 15, Killed With His Unsecured Gun, Police Say A Maryland girl is dead, and a 33-year-old DC man is facing charges after police say two juveniles gained access to his unsecured gun and fatally shot the 15-year-old. Investigators identified Bowie native Journee Long as the teen killed during the Saturday night shooting in Southeast DC involving a weapon owned by J’Von Green. Teen With Holstered BB Gun Caught After Shoplifting At Virginia Wegmans, Police Say A 16-year-old boy is in serious trouble after police say he stole from a Virginia Wegmans while carrying what appeared to be a real gun on his hip. Officers with the Leesburg Police Department responded around noon on Wednesday, May 14, to the Wegmans on Crosstrail Boulevard for a report of a shoplifter armed with a handgun in a holster, officials announced.
