Two men were recently charged with fatally shooting an Elizabeth man last year, authorities said.
Stevens Charles-Pierre, a 27-year-old Linden resident, and Brunel Thimothee, a 20-year-old Philadelphia resident, face first degree murder charges in the July 2024 shooting death of Jose Aranzamendi, a 47-year-old Elizabeth resident, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel, Elizabeth Police Director Earl Graves, and Elizabeth Police Chief Giacomo Sacca said.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested in Virginia in connection with the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man in upstate New York.
Albany Police found Quadair Hoffler suffering from a gunshot wound to the head in the city’s Pine Hills neighborhood, near Yates Street and South Lake Avenue, at around 1:40 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 10.
Hoffler was taken to Albany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, as Daily Voice reported.
